Waterfire is over by December, but there is a holiday market at the Waterfire Arts Center: . It’s about a half hour walk up and across the river.

RI School of Design museum (walkable, though a bit far).

The famous “Superman” Building (1928) is similar to the exterior of The Daily Planet as seen in the old Superman comics. It is currently vacant.

Lovecraft’s grave, along with that of other state notables, is at Swan Point Cemetery.

There are many lovely Victorian houses in East Providence; also Brown University & RISD.
